Dilemma Due to Pesky Bugs

We have been haunted by tons of bed bugs in the house in the last few weeks, until we call for Orkin to exterminate these bugs for us. After their work was done, I thought changing some stuff would be necessary because the bugs were able to get in to just about every sofa that we have, as well as my bed. I am just not sure how I could actually prevent bed bugs from infesting my house but I am sure that it would be the wise thing to do to change the old sofas and mattress and just buy new ones because there just might still be some in there that the exterminators weren’t able to eradicate. And I can also see the possibility of those bugs to reemerge in the old sofas and mattress because of the fact that there have been some previous habitants in there and some bugs might actually get the idea that it is a good place to dwell and recreate another nesting ground for them. The problem that I am facing now is the fact that sofas and mattresses don’t come cheap. I just wish my friends would be able to help me or we’ll be sleeping on the floor.

Mattress Turned in to a Giant Chew Toy

We were in need to buy a new mattress because the old one that we have met a little accident and we cannot seem to fix it anymore, no matter how hard we try. Well, it wasn’t exactly an accident actually… what happened was Bruno, my pet dog, found his way in to the bedroom and I guess he got so excited on how soft the mattress was so he decided to make a giant chew toy out of it. By the way, Bruno is a show type American pit bull terrier and we all know how strong this type of breed is so I guess you already know what happened to the poor bed. The bed itself is fine though, the dog did not do anything to it, what it went after was the mattress, which I really could not understand why because I know Bruno as a “wood eater”. Anyway, I’m thinking it is about time to replace the darn thing anyway so I thought going to the internet would be a nice idea and it was because in just a couple of days, we should get the new mattress, although I guess I should keep Bruno from getting in to the bedroom.

Chairs before Flight

I will be leaving in a couple of weeks to go to Russia because of the travel package that I was able to book from a Russian travel company, where I, together with my wife and kids, will be going to Arbat in Moscow, and see all the wonders and tourist spots around the place. The main attraction would be the visit to the Yuri Gagarin memorial complex. But first, before going to that wonderful place, I want to take care of the existing problem that we have in the house first, because as I write this blog entry, my couch is basically ruined due to termites. None of us knew that it was already being infested by those darn insects and yesterday, when I sat on it, the chair just collapsed and we saw how many were in there, eating through the wood. We already took care of the pests as pest control came over just this morning, but what I want to accomplish right now is to be able to get a new couch, at least before we fly to Russia for the trip. So far, I got some web sites to visit, but what I need is to find one that would ship immediately. I just wish we get one really soon.

My New Bedroom in My New House

I was able to find a nice bedroom furniture store online that certainly helped me a lot in decorating my bedroom. I just moved in to this new house and it is not fully furnished so I really had to get a lot of stuff in if I want to have it looking like a bedroom. I decided to go for a whole set since I don’t have anything with me except a TV and a couch and I was able to get something that I really wanted in the form of the site’s Retro Bedroom Set – 500 Series, where I was able to fully furnish my bedroom in to something that I would definitely want to sleep in. The set included a large bed, a couple of solid wood drawers, a large armoire and a ladies chest. After they delivered the stuff and placed them inside my bedroom, I immediately dismissed the workers and used the bedroom on that same moment. I just locked all the doors, turned off the TV and other electronics, took a shower and went straight to bed on a 4pm, Saturday afternoon. I was just really excited about it because I have been sleeping on the couch for almost two weeks and I thought it’s time to have some comfort.

I was really impressed with what I just saw a couple of hours ago when I visited a showroom in Bakersfield for some home items and I think I will definitely be able to save a lot of money if I buy my furniture with Direct Buy Mountain View. I am about to go on my way to my brother in law’s house to help him with the renovations of his house. He said that he was able to save up all of his structured settlements, that’s why he got enough money to have his living room and kitchen renovated the way he wanted it to be. He said he wants to have a contemporary look on the kitchen and living room because the house used to belong to my father in law and he hasn’t been able to renovate it ever since he acquired it. The kitchen, according to him, looks like a hole while the living room is too plain. I was able to buy a MobileLock Anti-Theft Alarm system for my car and house and even though it hasn’t been installed yet, I feel very safe already, knowing that the house will be planted with some security devices that would get us some nice sleep at night, knowing that nothing wrong would ever visit us. I am planning to have all doors rigged with the alarm system so it could easily detect anyone getting inside the house in the middle of the night. It should also help me keep the kids from going out in the middle of the night and using my car to go someplace else.

It has been quite a problem in the house and I intend to put a stop to it as well. Regarding burglars, it should keep them from getting inside my house and stealing all of my hard earned properties. They do not deserve anything that they steal and they should be punished when they do such felony. In a couple of days, I’ll have them fully functional and everything within my house should be safer. It really is a good investment and I think we will definitely benefit from this… I just know we will.
